Brian Beatty’s Vids

Brian does a terrible job documenting live performances, but here’s some not-so-embarrassing video evidence that he’s capable of what the kids call comedy. Notice, also, his extensive collection of hats.

On New Year’s Eve 2005, Brian did a short opening set for stand-up comedian Louie Anderson.

At this preview of his 2010 Minnesota Fringe Festival show, Brian followed two dance acts.

After this reading, Brian realized his story “Velour” was a lot like a Miranda July story. Which really ruined it.

This reading at Magers & Quinn features many of the poems in DUCK!

Watch Brian talk about his lifetime of artistic failures (and draw a dog).

This last video captures Brian’s first acting effort. Most likely it will also be his last.
